Undiscovered Countries Mix Tape Vol 1 : The Break Up Song
April 30th, 2022 at 9:30 PM
Undiscovered Countries is a Brooklyn based queer art incubator, creating safe environments for weird baby projects since their founding in 2012. UC Mix Tape is their latest creative experiment, in which a multidisciplinary slate of artists each creates a live performance work remixing and interpreting a favorite song in a given genre - in this case, The Break-Up Song. With performances by x, Rebecca Vineyard, Vanessa Rappa, the Out Of Work Puppeteers, Nick Cocks, Ky Why, and Aviya & Syd, original program art by JG Smith, a new scenic installation by Leigh Douglas, and an after-show dance party, this show will break your heart and put it back together again with the magic of community and DIY spectacle.
*Please note that this performance will be presented at the Tank's in-person performance space at 312 W 36th St. All attendees and artists will be required to display proof of full covid vaccination before being admitted to the space, either by showing a vaccination record (vaccination card) at least two weeks out from the final dose of an approved vaccine, or by using New York's free Excelsior Pass service, available here. Patrons will also be required to wear masks while indoors at all times and for the time being, no food or beverage will be permitted to be consumed at the theater. Masks must either be medical grade masks or must be double masked.
