ABOUT PUBLIC AFFAIRS AT THE TANK
The Tank opens its doors to public affairs and community-oriented events that promote free expression, new ideas, and civic engagement. The Tank invites audiences to transform the space into a modern Town Square where inquisitive, provocative, and conflicting ideas are discussed and explored. Featured guests have included published authors, elected officials, filmmakers, comedians, and artists.
Past events and featured guests include: Screenings of Blog Wars, Everything's Cool, and King Corn; authors and activists Jeffrey Feldman, Elizabeth Royt, Jeneane Garofalo, Cynthia Nixon, State Senator Daniel Squadron, and Borough President Scott Stringer; Debate, Super Tuesday and Convention Watches; Laughing Liberally; and Symposium: Saving Our Cultural Capital
Have an idea for a Public Affairs event? Send a description of your piece and your intention, how many nights you'd like and what dates or time frame you're looking for, and any particular tech requirements your show might have to publicaffairs@thetanknyc.org.
Please be patient; we receive a lot of requests and it often takes several weeks before we can get back to you. Space is also usually booked at least six months out, so please be looking ahead, though we have no submissions deadlines unless otherwise indicated.
